TROUT CAMP 2014
THE 24 CAMPERS THAT PARTICIPATED IN THIS YEARS CAMP CAME AWAY WITH AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME AND KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY CAN USE AND PASS ON TO OTHERS FOR YEARS TO COME.

LEARNED ABOUT TROUT BIOLOGY AND THE NEEDS OF TROUT.
LEARNED TO IDENTIFY TROUT STREAM INSECTS.
LEARNED HOW TO RIG & USE A FLY ROD.
LEARNED STREAM ETIQUETTE.
HELPED TO STOCK A STREAM.
PARTICIPATED IN BUILDING A HABITAT IMPROVEMENT STRUCTURE.
PARTICIPATED IN AN ELECTROSHOCKING FISH SURVEY.
FISHED AND CAUGHT FISH WITH FLIES THEY TIED.
THE KIDS HAD GREAT MEALS, PERFECT LODGING, GOT TO HAVE FUN SWIMMING AND WATCHING A RIVER RUNS THRU IT AND CAME AWAY WITH LOTS OF NEW FRIENDS.
ALL THIS AND MORE OCCURRED IN A 5 DAY CAMP AT NACOOCHEE BEND SCHOOL AND STREAMS AND RIVERS AROUND THE AREA. THIS CAMP OCCURS YEARLY AND IS OPERATED BY THE GEORGIA COUNCIL OF TROUT UNLIMITED.
