Here are a few tips to get the most out of the day:

   Bring your own lawn chairs, adult beverages, and appetite.

   Bring your own kayak/canoe/jon/inflatable boat with paddles, oars, or trolling motors only. There is no trailer ramp...watercraft must be hand launched. The water level may be low, due to the lack of rain, so lighter and smaller the craft would be most appropriate.

There is plenty of bank from which to fish also. 

This is a catch and release lake. Lures are the best tackle for the big bass.

CVCTU will furnish soft drinks, sides and a BBQ pork meal. If you want to bring something, it's not necessary, bring a desert to share. We will have plenty, thanks to Tim and Bill.

                                 Directions

     Head WEST from Rome on Hwy 20 (Alabama Hwy)

     Pass Plant Hammond and turn LEFT on Hwy 100 (Foster's Mill Rd). Cross over the Coosa River.

     Turn RIGHT on Morton's Bend Rd.

     Go just over 1 mile and turn RIGHT onto the gravel driveway at the "Trout Unlimited" sign.

     Follow the driveway for several hundred yards and park on the rise above the lake house.
